Gallaghers’ bar is legendary among this town’s many watering holes. Since opening day in 1927 when guests euphemistically ordered, “the other soup” and straight through Prohibition, locals would gather for the illicit drinks and stay for the drama.
Love affairs ignited and deals were struck as the city’s famous and infamous sidled up to the horseshoe-shaped bar in the center of the restaurant.
Meticulously restored to the last original detail, Gallaghers’ iconic bar is today an oasis of hospitality where the glamorous worlds of Broadway stars, sports icons, moguls and the city’s socialites intersect.
